Maata-N-Tudu Association is a Financial Non-Governmental Organization (FNGO) in Northern Ghana. We believe that the key to development in Ghana is the empowerment of Women, therefore all our programs incorporate a targeted gender-based focus. Operating in the three Northern Regions, we economically empower our female members through the provision of microcredit. In order to assure the success and sustainability of our financial services, we also implement several specialized human rights initiatives in local communities.

        Mission

The mission of Maata-N-Tudu Association is “to fill a niche that exists in the provision of financial services to female small scale entrepreneurs in the three Northern Regions of Ghana. This will be achieved by rapidly and efficiently providing dedicated credit and savings with minimal cost as well as targeted training services.”

Vision

The vision of Maata-N-Tudu Association (MTA) as an umbrella institution is “to improve the situation of members and their families by assisting them to unite and work together through meetings, mutual self help, training and capacity building.” The vision of the microfinance unit is to be the leading MFI that provides small scale loans to finance the development of entrepreneurial activities of poor rural, peri urban and urban women in Northern Ghana.

Development

Over the years,  Maata-N-Tudu has partnered with several Government agencies, organisations and companies to create effective and sustainable development projects in the Northern Regions of Ghana. As an organisation, we strive to work with our beneficiaries and clients to implement programs that address specific needs. and challenges.

The programs implemented in the targeted communities are designed to be complimentary to the microcredit lending processes. In order to fully realize the potential of microcredit, there should be an understanding of basic human rights, gender equality and business practices. Maata-N-Tudu Association works hard to provide the opportunities necessary for our clients to create sustainable business operations, therefore helping to break the poverty cycle.
